JOKESHOP KID'S MAGIC CLUB!
THE NEXT MAGIC MEETING IS March 11th, 2010
from 6pm to 7pm
Can't Make it? Next meeting is March 25,2010

The Goal

To promote the art of live entertainment and to provide possible service
opportunities within the community.

Who is invited?

Anyone from age 9 to 19 (some 8 year olds are welcome with parental
supervision on site.)

The club is open to anyone who is interested in performing any of the
following: magic, escapes, juggling, balloon twisting, clowning, face painting,
ventriloquism or puppetry.

What is going to happen at the meetings?

The meetings are a great place to meet other up and coming performers to
exchange ideas, give you an opportunity to perform in front of an audience
that can give you constructive feedback. On occasion there will be live
professional performers who will be showing their skills, exchange ideas,
work hands on with kid's of similar interests and give feedback of your work.

EXTRA ACTIVITIES

It is known to anyone in the business, that to become a good entertainer,
you have to perform. It is our plan to try and get you out in the community
performing. If you are interested in performing, we will try to arrange for you
to earn experience at places such as nursing homes, charity events and other
places in need of "a friend". You will gain experience while giving back to the
community.

ARE THERE ANY COST OF MEMBERSHIP?

No, It is free to join. In fact, we realize that most kid's don't have good
paying jobs, so when you become a member of our club you receive a
membership discount of
10% off of all magic supplies.

ARE THERE A LOT OF RULES?

ONLY THREE, Show up, be respectful of other performers and don't expose
any magic tricks that you may learn in the meetings.

ARE PARENTS ALLOWED?

Although parental supervision is not required, we strongly encourage parents
take a strong role in the up bringing of their children. If parents would love to
come, with their kids, we welcome and encourage this (provided they live up
to the same rules, as their kids have to follow as listed above). Parents are
also entitled to the 10% discount on all magic items for their kids.

DO I HAVE TO BE A PERFORMER TO BE A MEMBER?

It seems strange to us why you would want to be a member without
performing, but we realize not everyone is physically able to perform... and
so some exceptions will be made on a case by case basis. We are looking for
people with a love of live performance arts and we are not looking to have
people who want to attend only to expose magic tricks. Any member
suspected of openly exposing magic will be suspended from membership.

HOW DO I SIGN UP TO BECOME A MEMBER?

Just show up. The meetings will be two Thursdays a month starting at 6 PM.
